To make our camper feel more like home, today’s attempt turned out a great success! The family mission statement stands proudly in the Kitchen of our 6-month house! We have also put in a library in the the bunk room, where us we sleep. Also very happy sense this is the first blog that has been posted in the camper! WooHoo!

Recent Planning Updates
As we are getting closer, more of our big new adventure is being completed. Now, the entire trip is for July is planned! I will update my blog with August, but for now it is still under construction. I am very excited with the release with this information, because my birthday is after all in this month, and we will go to Mt. Rushmore, a very exciting landmark in America. We will be doing a lot more than that, along with a lot of driving and candy-eating, and a lot of fun and adventure to come as well!
Stalking up for the Trip!
I have been saving up candy and some nice foods for those long days or 8-9 hour trips ahead… only 2 months until we are out of our house and on the road for 6 months! I have been saving chocolate, candies, and other miscellaneous items of deliciousness as much as I can, including a 1 LB large candy for a REALLY busy day! I have arranged $7.50 worth of American currency quarters, and I store it all in a bin in our cozy trailer for gas station last minute candy if I don’t have enough…. I’m getting SO hyped!
We sold our car!
We just took one large leap closer to our trip when we sold our Volvo. We needed to sell it, otherwise we wouldn’t be able to go on our grand old’ trip around America and Canada! We got a nice deal and the people live right next to us a block away, and we are very happy with this accomplishment. We really ARE getting closer and closer every day!
Planning the Big Trip
Even though I myself can’t plan the trip, I can plan the investments. My parents have put me in charge of costs, like how much it will cost to go HERE, and how much it will cost to go THERE. I also must conserve my OWN money to help out. I have calculated that I will 100% get a total of $492 or more by the beginning of the trip. So far, I have planned that 14% of the money I will spend will for sure be on games, such as admission fees or candy that I decide to buy. I have also set aside $7.50 for arcades at resorts or candy vending machines for $0.25 each, which is well over enough. I have set aside another 6% for postcards and other items for my friends, and I have already set different contacts other an blogging so I can see them anyway. 64% of the money will go for traditional souvineers that can be found nowhere else. I am planning, since we are in the trailer, to get small souvineers that won’t be T-Shirts or Giant GiftShop items that will completely fill it past its living capacity. The last 16% will be random stuff that I will decide to buy if I’d like to, so it’s all under the category of “miscellaneous”.
KFC rocks!
My brother left to go to a friends house at the same time both of my parents were at Benjas for a date night ( I love benjas! ) which was very bad timing. My grandma, however, was here to keep me company. Not just that, but she took us out to KFC! KFC has my favorite root bear and Popcorn Chicke, which are both so good with mash potatoes. So, I ordered all 3! Thanks to the amazing and extremely friendly KFC staff, it was so fun teaching my grandma how to access my family’s blogging accounts, and eating and telling stories. The night was amazing, and everything went exactly as planned… or actually, NOT as planned! ( In a good way, of course! )
Planning is Stressful
Even though we just got home from a relaxing trip, worry and stress are now back. In approximately a short 2 and a half months, we have to be out of our house and on the road. My family and I are always trying to constantly get things done around the house, and so far we’ve been doing ok. A garage Sale is taking place the next day, which is starting at only 8:00… in the morning! We have, however, cleaned out the garage and the entire hidden room mostly out, so we are good on that. With our bedrooms and living rooms, and everything else to account for. I have been really hoping that things will turn around during these next few months, so we can have as much fun as my family and I could possibly have on our huge trip together!
The Longer Drive
We have had so much fun over the past few days, and we have been so happy to spend our time in Las Vegas and good old California! All good things do, however, come to an end. We’ve went riding around on scooters, built a patio in under 2 hours, and had a lot of fun watching great classic movies such as Warcraft, Avengers, and Indiana Jones #2. Before we left today, however, we were able to take one last look around the neighborhood on our scooters. We explored an unexplored area in a long drainage ditch, and we used it as a half pipe and rode around and did tricks. We practiced our Bo-Staffs and Weapon forms along with our NunChucks. We hurt ourselves just a little, which is supposed to happen when you use wooden weapons. Our dad went to run an errand, and when he was back we jumped into the car. This will be the last time we see California for a possible year, or just 2 months, so we were glad we made it count. We were also getting ready for an even LONGER ride back than before.
I’m making a book!
I have been writing a book that I will hopefully publish in a while, but for now I will only show a sneak peek. So far I have been working on this for somewhere around 4 or 5 months, so I am quite far through. I do not spend very much time on it each day, but I do put a lot of effort in. Enjoy!
CHAPTER 1
To protect the names of those who were less fortunate, or more accurately, more unfortunate than I was, I will not go into extreme detail and not what happened that night. I will say, however, that something terrible did happen that night. They targeted us directly, the ones that knew, so I am putting you in danger by simply telling you. If anyone asks, you have never, ever read this book, you have no idea what Xxane Corp Industries is, and you were nowhere near the incident.
Anyway, now that we have that out of the way, I guess I’ll have to tell you about what happened that night, now that you seem way more interested than you should be. My name is Jack Tanner, and I was at a school dance with my friend Ashton Scott at my middle school in Oklahoma. Well, we weren’t quite at the dance, really, we were in the computer lab screwing around with the coding in different programs.
We stumbled across a random website, I have no idea how we found it by the way, and we entered our names in. We always thought that it was hilarious when google and other different websites tried to figure out who we were. At this one website, however, I put in my name, my friend watching closely, and it took us to a new page. This one was called ‘Xxane Corp Industries’. My friend and I read through part of it, not understanding what it meant. What I did understand of this writing, was that it was part of another country. I had figured out that by the time that the computer shut down, that by the drawings, it was somehow part of their military program from the sketches of missiles and odd-looking vehicles I had never seen before
We made it!
Here we are in California! It was a long 5 hour trip, a whole hour longer than expected since the traffic was so bad. We ate dinner last night and it was some delicious and warm meatball and spaghetti mix. Anyway, last night we watched some TV while my dad played cards. We saw raiders of the lost ark, and Aidan didn’t remember it. I did, since we all saw it together as a family in our old house. I love that movie, even though it is very old… almost 30 years old. The acting is so well done, and I think all together Indiana made the movie great because, after all, it IS a classic, isn’t it? After the movie ended, we went to bed and I slept on our couch. I know, what was our couch doing in California? Well, we were going to California to give our couch to our grandma, and it was also her birthday. We had to move, so instead of selling the once red now dark red couch (that is ALSO as old as I am), we gave it to our grandma, who needed another couch in her new house. Altogether, we all had a lot of fun, and Aidan and I were both VERY glad that we hadn’t eaten all of the jerky in the car ride. Well, that was mostly beacause of me… like I said, Aidan could not stop eating… so I threw the bag all the way to the very back of the car. Whoops.
